Licenciado en Ciencias Biológicas. Maestría y Doctorado en Ciencias de la Universidad de Sao Paulo, Brasil. Tiene experiencia en el área de Fisiología Animal y Ecotoxicología, con énfasis en osmorregulación, regulación térmica y metabólica en crustáceos y estrés oxidativo como biomarcadores de contaminación en ambientes. Actualmente, es profesora investigadora en la Ikiam Universidad Regional Amazónica (Ecuador), se dedica a estudios ecotoxicológicos en ecosistemas amazónicos ecuatorianos, y fisiológicos en cangrejos de las costas del Ecuador.
