Research being carried out in health linked to the environment is of major relevance in the Neotropics. Many diseases are linked to environmental factors, vector transmission, and ecosystem intervention. Thus, it is of paramount importance to carry out scientific events such as this symposium, which will include a broad range of topics related to anthropogenic disturbances in ecosystems and how these can cause a cascade of environmental, human and animal health problems.
Taking a multidisciplinary vision, we will discuss various aspects of climate change, ecotoxicology, toxicology, epidemiology, therapeutic and diagnostic solutions to neglected tropical diseases, antimicrobial resistance and SARS-CoV-2 in the Neotropics.

TOPICS:

Assessment of ecosystem health.

Sinatropic species and urban ecology.

Neglected tropical diseases: epidemiology, diagnostics, and treatment.

Antimicrobial resistance: mechanisms, implications, and novel treatments.

SARS-Cov-2 related research in the Neotropics.
